Blog Writers wanted (software development) | 20 cents per word

Paid test assignment $60.00 - (300 words @ $0.20 per word = $60.00)

Please note: the project budget is for one paid test assignment. If the writer does well, we will then provide ongoing work.

We are seeking nine writers from the Software Development industry with knowledge of outsourcing practices for IT such as application, staff augmentation, etc. We pay writers on a per-word basis. HERE IS WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A GREAT WRITER:

• 5+ years experience in the software development industry.
• Ability to write the type of content needed (blog posts).
• Ability to write several blog posts each month.
• Adherence to deadlines. For this job, ongoing blog post assignments will generally be 800 - 1,200 words in length and require two business day turnaround time.
• You need to have consistency in quality.

HERE ARE THE TYPE OF TOPICS THAT WILL BE WRITTEN:

• Data management
• Mobile app development
• Software development
• The target audience is:
• CTOs, Heads of Engineering and Application Development Managers.
• Outsourcing IT

HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK:

If we select you as a writer, we'll set up a paid test assignment (300 words).

If our customers and we believe that your work is at the level needed, we'll add you to our team. You'll then get 1 - 4 content assignments per month. If you want more than that, let us know. If you meet the criteria above, we'll test you on some of our other client writing teams as the need becomes available.

We offer monthly retainers for top writers who have proven themselves to us over time.

HOW DO WE MOVE FORWARD?

It's pretty straightforward. When submitting your proposal, answer the questions in this job posting. We will respond to you within one business day with a yes/no on whether you move to the test assignment. If approved for the paid test assignment, we'll make an Upwork job offer to you for the price of the paid test assignment.

Once you accept, you'll send us some required information so that we can get you set up on our writer portal. I will give you a quick orientation on our expectations for the test assignment, detailed assignment instructions and a content style guide. The project will then be assigned to you.

IF APPROVED AS AN ONGOING WRITER

If added to one of our teams, you will receive periodic emails with new assignments. You'll get detailed assignment instructions and a style guide to work from with each assignment. Payments are made via Upwork every Monday for all completed and approved content from the week before.
