Aten Design Group is seeking a Content Writer to work with our team. This is a freelance contract position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Founded in 2000, Aten Design Group is a web strategy, design, and development company serving a broad range of clients making a positive impact around the world. We work on complex communications and data projects for organizations like Stanford University, World Wildlife Fund, Human Rights Watch, and many others. We are dedicated to creating meaningful user experiences, rooted in powerful open-source solutions, especially Drupal, WordPress, and React.

ABOUT YOU

You love writing and conveying ideas in an effective and engaging way. You have experience with different types of clients and can easily understand their audiences. You have experience ghost-writing on behalf of clients to understand their expertise. You have a sharp eye for detail and never miss a grammatical error. You understand how to use your writing voice to help clients accomplish key goals.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a freelance writer to assist in writing content for Aten.io, including but not limited to, blog posts and client project case studies. The right person will have strong content writing experience, the ability to write on various topics, and be comfortable working directly with subject matter experts and Aten’s Director of Marketing. Hours per week and month will vary based on current Marketing needs.

WELL-QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

• 3+ years of freelance writing experience with a variety of clients
• Ability to write about digital strategy, design, and web development consulting
• Diverse writing samples from client work. Examples we’d love to see: ghostwriting, business development, marketing, blog or article, case studies, etc. Please make sure a link is included in your application!
• A basic understanding of the digital agency industry
• Ability to deliver appropriate and effective verbal and written communication
• Legally authorized to work in the United States - all contractors must have the ability to produce a W9 before beginning work.

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience working with agencies

COMPENSATION

• The hourly rate for a Freelance Content Writer starts at $50/hr.
