Pitches wanted (technology, science) | $1 to $2 per word

Amanda Silverman, Features and Investigations Editor of Tech Review, is looking for pitches:
I'm the new Features & Investigations Editor at MIT Technology Review. And I'm on the lookout for new writers to work with. Luckily, Rachel Courtland has put together a handy pitch guide laying out what we're looking for: https://www.technologyreview.com/how-to-pitch-mit-technology-review/
I love a whole range of stories—holding bad actors accountable, uncovering something new / fascinating / weird, crafting a compelling narrative you can't put down—but mostly I want stories that you feel like you immediately have to tell your friends about.
I also have a soft spot for stories that have an element of wackiness.
As for topic, so much falls under the technology and science umbrellas. Don't feel like there's only one kind of story for a place called MIT Technology Review.
Broadly speaking, as the pitch guide says: "We’re particularly excited about those areas where technology and humans collide—where technology meets the real world."
