We love writing about food trends, neighborhood businesses, corner stores, experiential pieces, profiles and features on chefs and any quirky or innovative dishes they're cooking up. I'm looking to build a steady pool of freelance writers who live in the Bay Area or have really close ties to the city. Another opportunity for the right candidate is if they pitch a great, recurring column idea that SFGATE readers will absolutely devour.
APPLICATION CHECKLIST: Unless otherwise stated, include (1) a cover letter explaining how you meet the requirements or why you are the right fit for the job; (2) a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits; (3) your strongest clips or links to published work; and (4) a resume detailing your writing experience.
