Are you a wordsmith with a talent for communicating complex topics and concepts into easily readable content? Does writing about subjects like sustainability, design, and technology intrigue you?

We are looking for a freelance writer to help us enrich our content efforts with educational blog posts, e-books, and case studies for topics focused on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, as well as sustainability in the built environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

YOU WILL:

• Develop high quality, engaging content for blogs, e-books, and/or case studies
• Research AEC industry-related topics (Heavy emphasis on architecture and mechanical engineering).
• Conduct any external interviews as needed
• Collaborate with internal team members and subject matter experts as needed
• Work with marketing content manager throughout editorial process - submitting draft(s) by agreed upon deadline and making any necessary edits by final deadline

YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Experience as a freelance content writer, copywriter, or similar role
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Professionalism and timeliness in responding to communication and feedback and ability to meet deadlines
• A knack for distilling complex and sometimes technical concepts into writing that’s easy for most people to understand
• Writing samples or a portfolio to share for consideration

NICE TO HAVE:

• Prior experience writing B2B content
• Knowledge of the AEC Industry or background in Architecture
• Understanding of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for targeted keywords
