I'm an editor at The Xylom, a student-run nonprofit exploring the communities influencing and shaped by science. We accept any pitches reasonably related to science and society, including first-person essays. We pay $100 to $125 per language per piece. We also fact-check and work with students / ESL writers.

We're trying to cover climate with depth, urgency, and nuance over at The Xylom. We are a member of The Institute for Nonprofit News funded by readers and not beholden to moneyed interests. Most of our writers have advanced degrees in either the pure sciences or in science writing.
