Remote Copywriter wanted (beauty, skincare) | $40 per hour

Joanna Vargas Skincare is looking for a Freelance Copywriter who excels in writing different forms of copy with a creative voice and tone. This role will write many forms of copy from product descriptions pages, promos, launch copy, and paid and organic social copy. The copywriter must be highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects at once. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing brand and help lead and push performance initiatives forward.

• This role is freelance so remote is okay.
• Pay rate: $40 per hour (fixed rate)
• 10–15 hours per week
• 3 month contract to start (with potential to extend)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting into the Marketing and Creative Director, this role will align with the marketing calendar and work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
• Lead writing revenue-driving copy for emails including promos, newsletters, SMS, website pages, partner activations, and more.
• Proactively respond to daily copy requests, consistently delivering high-quality, on-brand copy for a range of needs and submit copy that requires minimal to no top-editing.
• Partner closely with creative and social teams on copy for creative assets throughout the design process.
• Elevate and carry the Joanna Vargas tone of voice through everything you write.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 2+ years as a copywriter with writing copy for beauty/skincare beat or brand preferred
• Must have experience writing email and product copy, SEO experience preferred.
• Exceptional writing & proofreading skills, plus strong attention to detail.
• Must be reliable, independent and able to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
• Impeccable project management, organization & communication skills.
• Asana experience a plus.
• Eager and passionate to work with a growing brand.
• Must provide a relevant portfolio with candidate application.
