Remote Writer wanted (healthcare, venture capital) | $50 to $60 per hour

Windham Venture Partners is a health tech venture capital firm investing at the intersection of healthcare and technology. Our investments span medical technologies and digital health.

We are looking for a freelance writer to develop our firm’s content, including social media, blog posts, and thought leadership. The ideal candidate is a creative writer professional and possesses a passion for writing and blogging across many different topics and channels in healthcare and venture capital. Candidate must be able to research and create innovative long-form content (blog posts and thought leadership content) and social media content (LinkedIn and Twitter). The freelance writer's responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of this production process, from inception to submission. The candidate should have prior experience writing and knowledge about topics in medicine, healthcare, and technology.

Candidate must be comfortable writing on a variety of subjects ranging from venture capital, medical devices, biotechnology, and digital health.

This will be a freelance position and the writer will be paid per hour. We would like the writer to complete 1-2 blogs per month and 3-4 social media posts per channel per month.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver engaging, unique, and purposeful content according to an editorial calendar.
• Create new and unique 1,500-2000-word blogs on various topics.
• Help come up with innovative blog ideas.
• Ensure that work is properly researched.
• Optimize content using SEO best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be in the US.
• Bachelor’s degree required and relevant work experience.
• 3+ years experience in article and blog/thought leadership writing.
• 1+ year experience in social media writing, preferred.
• Prior experience in digital health and/or venture capital, preferred.
• Highly creative and innovative, with a strong awareness of health tech and venture capital trends.
• Conscientious, detail-oriented, and efficient.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, disciplined approach to work.
• Able to commit to at least two blog posts each month that will be due on a pre-determined editorial calendar.
