Education Reporters wanted | 50 cents to $1 per word

Maureen Kelleher, Editorial Partner at Ed Post, is looking for reporters:

I'm looking for freelance education reporters who really know their stuff on early literacy and the science of reading. US-based only. Pay/time depends on the assignment. We are open to multiple articles.

We have a two-tier system for reported pieces: for folks new to us and earlier in career, and those who have experience in K-12 reporting and solid clips. Right now Holly Korbey (well-known education freelancer) is doing some work with us. We'd love to find some more writers, especially folks in the South or West and folks who bring an intersectional and justice lens to reporting on schools. (If they can do audio or video, we can work out rates for that, too, my colleague on digital handles that stuff). Sorry it took so long to respond.

This is for Ed Post. Writers are accepted on a rolling basis, so no deadline. I need a writer or two for a package of stories looking at the parallels between school bullying and the tactics now being used politically to bar discussion of and support for LGBTQ+ and Black and Brown students.
