Remote Content Writer wanted for production company | $40 to $45 per hour

We are seeking a thorough and experienced content writer to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will both write content and analyze past content to find what needs to be updated.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The content writer should have excellent writing skills, work well with others, and understand how to analyze complex concepts to explain to a non-expert audience. The role is a mix of UX writing, technical writing, copyediting, and content analysis. The digital content we work on requires attention to detail and analysis about how we can make it better.

The ideal candidate will also have experience working on projects with a lot of moving parts. The content writer works with product managers, artists, designers, and clients so you should have a sense of how to manage multiple workflows at once.

The content writer will report to the Content Strategist. The compensation for this position is $40 to 45 per hour for at least 20 hours per week. This position is open to remote candidates, but only those who can work EST hours.

ABOUT YOU:

• You’re passionate about writing clear, engaging content that adheres to documented standards for copy
• You have experience in UX and/or technical writing
• You’re excited by new challenges and energized by working in a collaborative, team-based environment
• You’re able to meet deadlines and turn around projects quickly when necessary
• You have experience working on projects with multiple moving parts
• You have experience with Project Management software like Asana/AirTable/Jira
• You are fluent in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
• You are familiar with product design and able to understand technical concepts
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or another related field
• You have at least 2 years of writing experience

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Keep up with what content is in process, approved, and in need of updates
• Partner with the content and design team to understand and execute strategic vision for assigned projects
• Contribute to the success of the digital content team, partnering with team members and leadership to deliver best-in-class content for our clients
• Contribute to larger conversations within our content team to define the ongoing development of and vision for our content
• Assist with taking content through a multi-step governance process, including legal reviews and any necessary revisions
• Document content and approvals according to established processes
• Contribute to and ensure quality execution of content strategy for projects and initiatives in their area of focus (advisor-client experience)
• Partner with direct manager to identify areas of process improvement and growth within their area of focus
• Ensure content delivered to partners is of the highest quality to contribute to HOPR’s overall success
