Now we’re looking for a few extraordinary freelance writers to join our team of masterful wordsmiths and storytellers with a passion for weaving journalistic creativity with business intellect with marketing/public relations skills to produce compelling biographical stories. We are the original producer of publications such as The Top 100 Attorneys, The Top 100 Business Leaders, The Top 100 People in Real Estate, The Top 100 People in Finance, The Top 100 Innovators & Entrepreneurs, and many more.

WHAT WE OFFER:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• ​Be a master wordsmith with excellent English skills, a strong grasp on grammar, and a knack for writing engaging stories.
• 2+ years of professional experience, with strong preference for those with marketing, public relations, or journalism backgrounds.
• Ability to gain a basic understanding of a variety of industries and present complex content as clear, graceful, compelling prose.
• Possess excellent spelling, punctuation, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• A passion for creating high-quality, engaging content and the willingness to accept critique and guidance.
• Ability to write 10-20 hours a week. This is a long-term freelance position.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• ​Must be US citizen, complete and sign form I-9, and submit photo ID.
• Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
• Will be paid as subcontractor and receive a 1099. Must complete and sign form W9.
• Must have MS Word.
• Must have Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal.

Lastly, complete the form below and upload the bio you created. Name your file with your first and last name.

DO NOT upload your resume or other writing samples. We will only review applications that include a bio written from the interview.

If your submission shows promise and you followed the instructions, you will be contacted via email within 5-7 business days. Grammar, punctuation, and spelling will be scrutinized.

Please note that the interview, which is fictitious, may contain repeated details, typographical errors, or incomplete sentences, but is indicative of what you would typically work from (our interviewers are typing rapidly while the client is speaking). The idea is to find and include the most important information and weave an intriguing narrative. There should be a smooth transition between paragraphs and you may include direct quotes attributed to the client. For reference, we use the CMOS format.
