Remote Copywriter wanted (hospitality) | $75 to $125 per hour

Based in New Orleans + New York City, Oyster Sunday is a hospitality studio for independent restaurants + small food and beverage brands. It is our mission to build a sustainable and supportive infrastructure for the food and beverage industry. We support businesses around the U.S. with branding, marketing, operations, HR, finance, business development, and data management. The Oyster Sunday Copywriter is responsible for writing and developing copy for our clients, which includes but is not limited to brand positioning, email marketing content, website content, and social media content. This is a freelance, remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write and develop copy for our clients, which includes but is not limited to brand positioning, email marketing content, website content, and social media content that reflects our clients’ brand voices
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to brainstorm and develop a variety of content on behalf of our clients
• Meet with clients as needed to understand their desired messaging, brand voice, and target audience, and work with them to edit and modify copy to meet their content expectations
• Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the target audience and drives action
• Comfortably vary voice, style, and other characteristics demanded by brand, or target audience at hand
• Research and understand our clients’ brands and target audiences
• Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal and client teams, and help communicate creative ideas in presentations
• Revise copy based on feedback / direction
• Proofread written work and online content
• Stay on top of trends through industry monitoring and outside resources

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years experience in copywriting
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands
• Comfortable taking creative direction
