Pitches wanted (travel, lifestyle) (worldwide) | $300+ per article
Added 2022-10-31 19:45:31 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: SCOTT'S CHEAP FLIGHTS
Katie Hammel, Content Marketing Director at Scott's Cheap Flights, is looking for pitches:
For the Scott's Cheap Flights weekly destination newsletter, I am looking for travel/lifestyle writers deeply familiar (live/lived there or visit often) with anywhere we haven't covered. See previous editions here: https://scottscheapflights.com/guide-categories/destinations
Almost any country, region, city, state or island is open, but I'm particularly interested in coverage of: Rio, Senegal, Bangkok, Mozambique, Porto, Madrid, Switzerland, New Zealand, Kuala Lumpur, Poland, Greenland, Panama, Ecuador, and smaller cities in the US and Canada.
Send me clips and tell me about the place you want to write about and why you're the person to write it. Work will be assigned in October/November, due in November/December and publish in February-April. Send me clips (katie.hammel@scottscheapflights.com).
This is a rolling opportunity. We publish one per week so I tend to go through pitches and assign 5-8 at a time every other month or so. Also I highly recommend writers look at what we have already published and understand that if we just ran a story on, for example, Rome, we aren't going to cover Naples for several months.
CONFIDENTIAL NOTE: Reports indicate that this opportunity will pay $300+ per article. It is recommended that you discuss the rate(s) with the editor/employer prior to commencing work.
