Gabrielle Lawrence, Managing Editor of TransLash Media, is looking for pitches:
Seeking more TGNC writers! TransLash News & Narrative is a safe space for trans and gender nonconforming (TGNC) people. Translash Media pays a $350 flat rate for each piece. Our minimum word count is 750 words. Our ideal length is 1000 words.
We’re open to new ideas and new writers, but the best way to get an idea of what we’re looking for is by checking out our published pieces and our list of rolling calls for pitches.
- Trans Holidays: What does Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year, or this season overall look like for you? How are you navigating family and home? What are you reflecting on at the end of the year?
- #transatwork: How does the political climate affect your work environment? How are you opening doors for other trans people in your field? How could your industry benefit from trans representation?
- Trans and Gender-nonconforming Joy: What lights you up? Brings you pleasure? Makes you feel loved? We want to know what puts a smile on your face.
