- stories about what we can learn from ancient civilizations and indigenous cultures about how to live well in a zero-carbon world
- nature-based climate solutions
- Cop27-adjacent stories (not news stories though!)
Please DM me for rates/ to ask questions/to get my email to pitch. Please don't send massive pitches to my DMs! But you can outline your idea in a sentence if you want to. We tend to commission in the 1-2k word range. I will try to reply to all pitches but last time I did a call like this I was overwhelmed with emails. So if you don't hear from me please feel free to take your idea elsewhere. We may still be in touch at some point to see if it's still available .
Please check out the site before pitching: https://www.bbc.com/future/future-planet/
Open to international writers? Yes, absolutely.
CONFIDENTIAL NOTE: Reports indicate that this opportunity will pay around 50 cents per word. It is recommended that you discuss the rate(s) with the editor/employer prior to commencing work.
