Deadline: 16 November 2022 (sorry for almost missing this)
Erin Quinlan, Features Director at Cosmopolitan, is looking for pitches:
Pitch Call: For the April issue of Cosmo, the features team is seeking proposals for immersive, richly reported reads that relate in some way to the theme of COUPLES (and other intimate configurations). Pitch deadline: 11/16. Pay: $1.50 to $2 per word. Email: erin.quinlan@hearst.com.
We welcome a wide range of ideas—investigative, funny, photo-driven, whatever. Basically, if you answer yes to these four questions.
- Does the pitch center on actual events (rather than a topic)?
- Is the story relevant to young women in the U.S.?
- Has no other outlet covered it in the way you are envisioning?
- Is there a compelling reason to publish the story now?
We’d be honored to hear from you.
Please note that the features department is NOT looking for: cultural commentary, first-person essays, advice-driven articles, explainers, recommendation roundups, or fiction. At least not at this time! Thank you to everyone for letting us consider your work.
