The Cool Down is looking for freelance writers to create web articles and occasional social copy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and write web articles and social copy according to TCD's editorial style
- Handle 2-3 assignments per week on topics ranging from climate news and technology to plant-based food and pop culture moments
- Explain complicated topics in simplified, accessible terms to a broad audience
- Work under deadlines and submit articles for publication on time
- Desire to pitch ideas for coverage a plus
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year of copywriting experience at a credible media outlet or publication
- A strong understanding of and commitment to journalistic standards and integrity
- Passionate about climate space a huge plus
- Remote position
RATE: $30 to $75 per article (250 - 750 words)
