Remote Copywriter wanted for video rental firm | $42 to $45 per hour

DESCRIPTION

This is an hourly contract to full-time hire position.

The Copywriter collaborates with a cross-functional team of stakeholders and designers to create compelling materials that promote and create awareness for the Redbox brand, including emails, web, social and Kiosk assets, SMS, Push notifications scripts, and other marketing communications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily copy development activities that maintain a consistent brand voice through all written materials for branding, promotional/campaign deliverables, product literature, sales materials, Kiosk materials, trade advertisements, presentations, etc.
• Provide creative ideation and concept development with ACD for videos, brand campaigns, digital ads, platform ads for CE (ROKU, VIZIO, LG etc.) and other larger marketing campaigns
• Support copy development efforts that support creative requests from clients
• Play a key role in the end-to-end video production process, including partnering with outside vendors (sound engineers, voiceover talent, etc.,) and the in-house animator, sourcing vendors for new projects, creating budgets, submitting invoices, etc.
• Collaborate with designers and partners to create and deliver promotional messaging that meet the organization’s branding objectives
• Proofread copy to fact-check and ensure accurate spelling and grammar of all written marketing communications
• Ensure all written materials adhere to brand voice and positioning standards and guidelines across all channels and platforms. Be the brand voice police for delivering a consistent experience within all messaging
• Translate CD guidance while keeping messaging development focused, strategic, and timely in accordance with partner expectations
• Maintain a strong understanding of our products, target audience and competitor activities in the market
• Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the business

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
• 5+ years of copywriting experience required, with at least 1 year of video/film production experience preferred
• Advertising or creative agency experience strongly preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Understand and have expertise with short and long form copy; this position requires the ability to write video scrips and short form witty headlines and subject lines
• Exceptional creative writing and editing skills
• Must work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented in-house design environment
• Ability to work independently within a team environment, and an ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders
• Ability to effectively research and create unique, compelling content/copy
• Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management/multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills
• Acutely detailed-oriented, strong fact-checking, and top-notch proofreading skills
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of creative writing
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, other MAC-based design applications, and Office Suite

New York pay range: $42.00 - $45.00 USD per hour

Pay is based on nondiscriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skill and location.
