We are looking to add someone at roughly $1k/month for our B2B SaaS company in the blog/writing area. Our company industry is digital identity (identity verification, age verification, etc). There are a couple requirements that make it different from other roles. See below:
REQUIREMENTS:
Need to be able to format and post in Webflow. This is our website CMS platform. It's fairly easy but is a requirement. We can "train" if need be, but knowledge about markdown or other CMS platforms is a plus.
Instead of long-form technical blog posts, we want 2 "news round-up" posts per month with commentary on some of the posts. eg: Compile list of top 10 digital identity news items in the past 2 weeks. Provide detailed commentary on 4 of the news items and 1-2 sentences on remaining 6.
- I'm not sure how many words or length the detailed posts needs to be. Longer than a tweet and shorter than a full article. Happy to work with writer to figure this out. Primarily looking for writer to expand on why news-item is interesting and add a bit of context.
- We can provide info for finding relevant news sources. eg: here are core industry news websites and list of relevant twitter profiles to follow. Writer will be in charge of selecting top news-worthy items and adding content.
- Would be great if we could work to also have a set price for additional long-form articles. eg: If news-item is interesting, we may want to put out a full article the following week. Would be great if we could have a price for that article. eg: expand news-item into full length article for X amount of words, $250 price.
Writer needs to be able to communicate via email or Slack in a timely manner. This typically means 24-36hr response times for questions.
Payment to individual or company is fine. Will be paid as a contractor. Current budget is around $1,000 per month for 2 of the above mentioned "news-roundup" + above mentioned commentary/insight. Payment is monthly and contract would be month-to-month with 30 days notice. eg: If we decide to cancel, we will provide 30 days notice.
- Writer will be required to sign typical company non-disclosure agreements, data access agreements and so forth. We have MacBooks we typically send although for $1k/month, I'm not sure it's necessary...
If things go well, there is opportunity to grow into a full-time role or larger monthly contract. Another large project we are kicking off is a complete re-write of our technical and product documentation. There is more work to be had if we find a good match. Our team is mostly US based and fully remote. Company HQ is Austin , TX. Company has been around since 2014, is quite small (under 10 employees + roughly 20 contractors), and profitable (eg: doesn't require outside funding to survive).
TO APPLY:
