Cash App’s People team is looking for a contract writer to support our employee communications tream. At Cash App, Employee Communications powers the voice of the company and keeps our globally distributed workforce informed and connected to our purpose.

This position will work within a larger, cross-functional team and report to the Editorial and Content Manager. You should be comfortable working remotely in a distributed, matrixed environment with exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pitch and develop internal-only stories and communications with company goals and employee needs in mind.
• Manage story publishing and page updates on Cash App's intranet
• Partner with teams across the organization, from Design to Communities (employee resources groups) to Engineering, to explore a diverse range of story and narrative campaign ideas.
• Provide reporting/analytics, such as employee content engagement and other research to track progress toward goals.
• Deliver copy editing and fact checking services for company-wide written communications, as needed.
• Work with Cash App’s Design team to develop and execute visuals that complement copy.
• Help maintain and editorial calendar for internal content

SKILLS:

• 5 years of professional writing experience (editorial publications, brand communications, content marketing)
• Ability to execute technical and editorial/creative writing
• Experience interviewing key stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Ability to copy edit and fact check writing on tight deadlines
• Fluency in AP Style
• Fluency in CMS operations
• Comfort with quick-turn writing and editing
• Understanding of, and passion for, culture and organizational effectiveness
• Must be collaborative, receptive to feedback and quick to adapt
• Experience in multimedia content creation (photo, video, graphics) a plus

PAY: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour
