BrightAction is an engagement platform that makes it simple, easy and fun to learn about solutions and take affordable actions that make an impact. We work with companies, organizations and cities to engage employees, members and residents on climate solutions. Our platform is data driven with an advanced calculator that tracks impact, provides custom user recommendations and makes participation fun with goals and challenges. Most importantly, we connect users to share, work together and support each other in taking action. THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Content Writer to take the lead on research, development, and creation of content for our action guides. Our action guides are at the core of our value to users where we make it simple, easy and fun for users to learn about solutions and provide the information they need to be successful in taking action. Our actions are practical, like smart thermostats, electric vehicles, home solar and composting. The ideal candidate would have excellent research skills and excel at taking technical information and translating to make it simple, fun and easy to follow. Examples of our current action guides.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Research and identify key action information to include in our action set including text, video and photo content including suggestions for new actions.
• Write action page content including posting content and updating the site.
• Stay up to date on new tech and trends to inform decisions on new opportunities for content.
• Collaborate with product and customer success managers to track customer input and identify strategies for action page improvement.
• Work directly with the CEO on long term strategies for site content.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years content writing experience
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong research skills and detail oriented
• Ability to understand technical content and translate for non-technical users
• Self-motivated and ability to work from home/remote
• Positive attitude and team oriented
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Part time, contract (approximately 10 hours/week). This position is remote, open to any U.S. location.
