Overjoyed to share this heartwarming piece by Women Who Submit ally Jenise Miller at High Country News. If you have a piece that does similar work around expanding the public imagination around sites of cultural production in the West. Please feel free to pitch me.

Inspired by a recent jaunt to look at art, I'd also love to publish short personal narratives (700-900 words) beside an image of your beloved thing. Feel free to pitch me at Melissa dot Chadburn at hcn dot org.

The limitation is the beloved object or author somehow has to connect to the West. High Country News is a magazine in and about the West.

Rates (based on the submission guidelines): We pay on publication, between $0.50 and $1.50 per word, depending on the writer’s experience and our experience with the writer.
