Added 2023-01-06 18:03:12 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: CHRON
Emma Balter, Food Editor at Chron, is looking for pitches:
Freelancers: I finally have a pitching guide for Chron's food section: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M7fLW1FPxycGMnS2eKmbGqXpy9zt4X7CMhcrWbzMF3c/edit
You can pitch me directly at emma.balter@chron.com. Once we've connected, please fill out this very brief Google form.
I am actively recruiting new contributors for 2023. Sharing some details here:
- Rate: 50 cents a word
- Frequency: as often as you'd like
- Topics: restaurants, dining trends, food as culture, food history (to name a few)
Who I'm looking for: This is primarily an opportunity for writers based in Houston (preferred) or elsewhere in Texas (also encouraged).
If you have a strong tie to Houston but don't live here right now, I'd still love to hear from you.
Think: You're from here, you lived here for many years, you have family here, etc. (Think not: You visited that one time.)
Food writing experience is a plus, but not required. I'm really just looking for skilled reporters who can tell a great story, especially one about people and culture.
Sound like you? Please reach out and pitch me: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M7fLW1FPxycGMnS2eKmbGqXpy9zt4X7CMhcrWbzMF3c/edit
