I am taking pitches for http://fastcompany.com stories mostly. Rates vary based on length and how much reporting is needed. Always interested in company profiles if there's an interesting angle, as well as business trend pieces.
Rates: The general range for what I assign, which are online stories that typically run on weekends, is around $400 for something short with a quick turnaround and minimal reporting, to $1,000 for longer, more in-depth features/profiles.
