The Jewish Review of Books is looking for wonderful, zany, smart humor writing to share with our readers on Purim. We are currently soliciting humor writing on all things Purim as well as flash submissions on the theme of “Jewish review of –ooks.”
What kind of –ooks? Could be crooks, or nooks, or hooks, or… well, you tell us! Your submission can be in any format as long as it is humor writing, is a Jewish review of rhymes-with-books, and does not exceed five hundred words. Half-rhymes, loose rhymes, and squint-your-eyes-to-see-it rhymes will also be accepted.
Published submissions will receive $200 and will be released online leading up to, or on, Purim (March 6 and 7, 2023). We will also publicize all winning entries in the JRB email newsletter, which reaches tens of thousands of readers.
