Remote Health Content Writer wanted | $60 to $75 per hour

This is a remote role.

We’re looking for a contract Content Writer (30 hours per week/ early March until the end of September) to join our Content Team. The Oura Content team is focused on empowering Oura members with education, guidance, insights, and connections to make the most out of their Oura Ring and membership experience.

You will play a key role in content creation of health-specific editorial content, primarily across Oura’s blog, The Pulse, reporting to our Lead Editor, Health Content. You’ll also work cross-functionally with members of the marketing, science, and product teams, as well as internal and external expert sources as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Work closely with the Lead Editor, Health Content to manage day-to-day content creation, including writing pieces yourself, approving content, and occasionally editing pieces
• Source member stories and conduct member interviews to create Community Spotlight features
• Update and refresh older content as needed
• Collaborate closely with external agencies to produce high-quality, SEO-optimized content
• Work cross-functionally with Oura teams to produce pieces focused on new features, proprietary data, and more Oura-specific angles
• Brainstorm and develop original content ideas, inside and outside the box
• Deliver pitch-perfect, error-free content that’s ready for prime-time publication

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5+ years of writing and editing experience in the health and wellness space
• Eagerness to learn and understand the ins and outs of the science behind Oura Ring
• High level of empathy for the target user/member/reader
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An appreciation for big-picture content strategy with a sharp eye for grammatical details
• Experience working in a CMS (i.e. Wordpress)
• Experience analyzing data sources, such as Google Analytics or Google Search Console, a plus

BENEFITS

N/A since this is not a full-time permanent role. This is not a contract to a full-time role.

Hourly: $60-75 an hour depending on experience.
