Rosin Saez, Senior Editor of Food and Drink at Thrillist, is looking for pitches:
Attention writers: I’d love to field some rad/fun/weird/cool food and drink pitches for Q1! Stories with a national interest—we’ve got local teams who cover city-focused stories—be them trends, features, explainers, roundups. Thrillist doesn’t have a pitch guide, but happy to workshop ideas.
My email (preferred) address is rosin.saez@voxmedia.com. Rates are flexible and can range from $350 to $500+

I’m also open to cannabis pitches, especially with a food and/or drink angle. https://thrillist.com/weed
Some stories I’ve loved editing:
- This piece by Eula Scott Bynoe: https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/communion-seattle-soul-food-restaurant
- Former Thrillist editor Danielle Dorsey wrote this about Ghetto Gastro’s cookbook-manifesto (I made the Triple C recipe for my bday dinner party and put everyone under a spell): https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/cornbread-crab-salad-recipe-black-power-kitchen
- We couldn’t not write something about ‘The Menu.’ Jessica Sulima crushes it every time: https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/the-menu-movie-behind-the-scenes-food
- We love writing about cookbooks by Adrian Zuñiga: https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/no-bake-grapefruit-bars-recipe
- A great example of international food-travel writing by Kat Thompsonn: https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/icelandic-hot-spring-bread-recipe
- More national trend stories, like this one by Liz Provencher: https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/food-halls-specific-global-focus
- Cannabis-infused pork tamales, c’mon, so good by Christina Wong: https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/pork-tamales-recipe-with-cannabis
- Another one I just love from Kat Thompsonn: https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/how-chefs-use-passed-down-kitchen-heirlooms
- Connecting history with contemporary happenings, let’s do it! As in this story by Shannon Musty: https://www.thrillist.com/drink/nation/philippines-rum-history-cocktails
- Love to publish listicles (sincere). I worked with the person who used to have my old job, er, I took over for her at a magazine for which neither of us work anymore. Anyway! Here’s her piece: https://www.thrillist.com/drink/nation/best-breweries-in-palm-springs-ca
- Do you like astrology and cocktails, then do I have a column for you by Danielle Dorsey: https://www.thrillist.com/drink/nation/goblet-of-fire-cocktail-recipe-celebrate-sagittarius-season
