WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a freelance Web Content Writer, enrich our client’s websites with new content, blog posts, guides and other marketing copy. This includes conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.

• Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
• Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
• Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems
• Proofread and edit content before publication
• Submit work to project stakeholders for input and approval
• Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles as needed
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
• Update website content

This freelance contractor position offers approximately 100 hours per month for at least six months.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Excellent overall writing skills in a number of different styles/tones
• Impeccable spelling and grammar
• A deep understanding of consumers and what motivates them online
• Great research, organizational, and learning skills
• High comprehension of software like Microsoft Word and Google Docs
• Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices
• Experience with online marketing and lead generation
• An understanding of formatting articles on the web
• Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
• Ability to meet deadlines Content Creation: 2 years
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
