One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Sr Marketing Content Writer to write compelling content mainly in the sustainable energy and transportation space. Experience with legal a big plus. Client is an engineering and scientific consulting firm that brings together more than 90 different disciplines to solve the most pressing and complicated challenges facing stakeholders today.
Our client is looking for Senior Writers to support internal and external communications for a variety of corporate, marketing and business develop initiatives. You will work with a diverse team whose focus includes the following areas: global brand management and advertising; global events and sponsorships; internal communications; business development and marketing research; media relations; corporate communications; internet marketing; client-centric marketing; and industry, service line and geographic marketing campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Create marketing content for digital and print channels
- Produce powerful and emotive written content, that has science at its core, telling the story of the unique work the client is doing
- Maintaining the consistency of written copy for company web and print materials, editing, writing and enhancing copy to meet established tone and style requirements
- Partnering with technical subject matter experts to develop content, including conducting expert interviews, integrating written text from technical documents or existing marketing materials to generate new assets
- Maintaining the accuracy and consistency of all communication within the full catalog of marketing collateral and sales enablement tools, collaborating with subject matter experts to develop, enhance, or revise materials, which may also include interactive multimedia presentations, thought leadership, and landing pages for reports, webinar take-aways and survey data
- Authenticating technical and promotional materials including articles, whitepapers, conference presentations and brochure
- Assisting with preparation of other corporate documents, internal education materials, or reports
- May work with outside agencies to execute the Firm’s media and communications strategy
- Crafting copies for various formats, including press releases, website copy, emails, client outreach, social media, and more
- Understanding and translating the scientific work, research, reports, and papers
- Researching and understanding new information quickly to gain relevant context for developing assets, such as industry jargon and language expectations
- Supporting strategic initiatives within the Business Development department, including but not limited to developing positioning and messaging frameworks
- Assisting in developing internal assets to support the proliferation of writing and thought leadership knowledge throughout the Firm (e.g., on-boarding and training materials)
- Researching, writing, and editing long-form content, including but not limited to research reports, white papers, audience analysis, position papers, Op-Eds, thought leadership articles, and webinar transcripts
- Researching, writing, and editing short-form content, including but not limited to blogs, scripts, web copy, emails, and social media copy
- Organizing information and writing clear and concise process documents (non-technical)
- Supporting the development of internal marketing materials
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of B2B writing experience, including experience specifically related to writing marketing copy on advanced technologies, sciences, or engineering
- Excellent writing (thought leadership, ghost writing, web copy), editing and proofreading skills and can provide examples of work product or a portfolio
- Must have CMS experience making changes, Drupal ideally or similar
- Experience writing sales and marketing copy for the following industries: consumer electronics and products, life sciences and healthcare, utilities and energy storage, transportation, and/or legal/insurance.
- Experienced writing copy for Website, ads, brochures, and presentations
- Able to create copy from existing copy, documents, SME interviews, and research
- Familiar with creating copy for professional services
- Strong organization and attention to detail with prior experience managing a content calendar
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including technical consultants and the executive team
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and collaboration in a professional setting
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage workload to strict deadlines, and operate effectively under remote management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to communicate with non-native English speakers
- Self-starter who is action driven
Length: 6-12 months, with possibility to extend and/or convert, 20-40 hours a week
Location: proximity to Natick, MA; Oakland, CA; Menlo Park, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Philadelphia, PA; or remote if ok with just long term remote
Pay: $70-85 hour DOE
Portfolio: required for all applicants, must be able to display similar content examples per the needs above
