Nova Aftab, Editor of Womxn in Windows, is looking for writers:

Hi, there are a lot of writers I still need to get back to. Please be patient with me but let me tell you a little more. Womxn in Windows is looking for writers who can short essays about culture, film, or music and film lovers who can make watchlists.

We are looking for writers all year. If this is you, email your portfolio. This is the easiest way for me.

Important details I have left out: we are looking for writers who are women, femmes, and non-binary to participate and this is a paid opportunity.

So the watch lists need to be 5-10 films with little descriptions of each about 500-700 words ($150).

The short essays should be about 700 or more words ($200).

APPLICATION CHECKLIST: Unless otherwise stated, include (1) a cover letter explaining how you meet the requirements or why you are the right fit for the job; (2) a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits; (3) your strongest clips or links to published work; and (4) a resume detailing your writing experience.

ABOUT WOMXN IN WINDOWS: Womxn—a WxW Journal is a journal by the Womxn In Windows community. WxW started as an annual exhibition for womxn artists (cis, trans and non-binary inclusive) working in motion. We curate works that centre on themes of identity, culture and society. More information here.
