Remote Digital Content Writer wanted | $55 to $65 per hour

The Digital Content Writer in the Service Division is responsible for partnering with content strategists and subject matter experts to write new content and update existing content for our digital self-service channels. In this role, you will help create content for intranet , in-app support, and chatbot. Content topics include, but are not limited to, account opening, contributions, transfers, rollovers, distributions, and tax. The Digital Content Writer will use firm guidelines and tools to optimize the content for search and self-service. They will work directly with business areas to ensure the business needs are met while prioritizing the user experience.

TRAINING

Depending on background and experience. May include online content strategy/design/writing training. On the job training by working with and observing TL and peers.

PROJECT DETAILS

Our department is new and leaning deeper into existing work than ever before with a focused effort on supporting our branch teams and clients by putting the right content in the right place at the right time to make it easy for them to complete their tasks. Our focus is on improving the content within our existing intranet, creating in app support content, developing chatbots, and streamlining our branch team's ability to get support through those self-service channels.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications

• Passion for helping people (particularly in financial services)
• Passion for content
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 1-3 years' experience working with digital content, technical writing, journalism or related fields.
• Willingness to learn about new communication channels, user journey data, and optimizing web content for search.

Preferred Qualifications

• Content strategy experience
• UX research, writing and/or design experience
• Finance industry experience/knowledge
• Bachelor's degree with a concentration in communications, journalism, English or marketing.

TEAM DETAILS

Our team is small. A department leader, team leader, and 1 associate but we partner closely with subject matter experts in the Service Division as well as with the product owners of our self-service platforms (intranet, in app support, chatbot).
