TEAM OVERVIEW:

We are searching for a Senior Writer who understands IoT technologies and can tell compelling stories about the people and organizations that use the Impinj platform. This position requires someone who is confident in their craft and eager to make an impact on the work we do. We want someone who cares about the details and generates ideas that push boundaries. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Own the storytelling of Impinj: our products, partners, customers, and our own team
• Create a high volume of sophisticated and engaging short-form and long-form content that meets strategic objectives, including blog posts, infographics, ebooks, product briefs, customer stories, video scripts, emails, and more
• Work collaboratively with project owners, designers, editors, and corporate approvers to create compelling content, and take ownership of your own projects
• Interpret creative direction and adapt points from messaging guidelines into persuasive copy concepts
• Advocate for and execute improved content creation strategies to streamline production and accelerate time to delivery
• Demonstrate an understanding of writing for a global audience
• Write concise, grammatically correct copy that is consistent with brand tone and voice, and tailored to target audiences
• Apply best practices for capturing and captivating audiences across all platforms, including web content, emails, social media, search engines, and more
• Maintain easy-to-understand and engaging messaging to communicate complex, technical, and product-related concepts

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or Creative Writing is preferred
• 4+ years experience as a Copywriter, Copy Editor, or Content Strategist, working in a fast-paced, dynamic journalistic or marketing environment, preferably with a background in B2B technology
• Ability to manage numerous projects and prioritize goals, execute on deliverables, and keep team members informed
• Established track record of creating successful marketing content from start to finish, with knowledge of SEO best practices
• Proactive, positive teammate invested in everyone's success
• Past experience building and upholding content style guidelines
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
• An ability to take complicated concepts, and simplify them into clear, concise messaging
• A strong work ethic with a high degree of accuracy, creativity, ambition, and follow-through
• A commitment to ongoing learning and self-improvement, and an ability to take constructive criticism
• A desire to develop or expand subject-matter expertise in the Impinj platform and IoT technologies
• Cover letter and content work samples highly recommended

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $40-55HR. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. US based employees have access to healthcare benefits; a 401(k) plan and company match among others.
