Mike Epstein, Senior Commerce Editor at Hearst Enthusiast Group, is looking for writers:

It is finally time! I am out here looking for freelancers to write expert product guides for Popular Mechanics! Right now I am scouring for writers with experience reviewing/testing tools and gardening gear. I also have one cameras assignment up for grabs.

I believe there will be a few more coming through the pipeline, but please reach out ASAP if you have testing experience with the following:

• Wheelbarrows
• Cement Mixers
• Reel Mowers
• Fertilizer Spreaders
• Mirrorless Cameras

Commerce roundup experience is a plus, but not required!  You can hit me up at Mike.Epstein-AT-Hearst-dot-com. Rates will vary based on whether it's an update or new article, but it should be between $450-$550 for a new piece.  And if this does not sound like you, dear veteran freelancer, do not despair! We will have more and more varied topics coming up on a monthly basis.  For everyone asking about if we work with international reporters: The short answer is yes. The long answer is please write in and specify where you're from (if outside the the US) so I can check before offering an assignment. (I am new so I am learning our policies.)  Deadline: End of next week.
