Pitches wanted (motorcycles) | $100 to $400 per article

COMPANY/PUBLICATION: RIDE TEXAS

Deadline: 5 April 2023

Julie Nordskog, Women's Editor at Ride Texas, is looking for pitches:

Call for Pitches: Ride Texas magazine is accepting pitches for our 2023 Summer and Fall issues. Our readers and writers ride motorcycles. Our regional focus is Texas and surrounding states, including Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. We love all the motorcycles -- all makes, models, and riding styles.

Ride Texas is a quarterly print and digital publication. Topics may include, but are not limited to, ride reports, profiles, routes, destinations, event previews (not post-event summaries), industry trends, racing, custom and vintage motorcycles, book reviews, and unbiased gear reviews. We’ll also consider pitches for “newsy” blog posts on ridetexas.com.

The pitch deadline for our Summer 2023 issue is April 5th. Prospective writers may request a sample digital magazine from squirrel<at> ridetexas<dot>com.

We'll continue to accept pitches on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Ride Texas pays $100 to $400 per article depending on length and depth of research. Blog posts pay $0.10/word for a 300- to 500-word post. No articles will be accepted without quality photographs. (Smartphone photographs will be considered.)

To familiarize yourself with our print magazine, request a sample copy from squirrel@ridetexas.com.
