Modern Farmer is looking for pitches. We’re looking for great reporting and engaging storytelling that gives readers insight into farming and food systems around the globe, with a particular focus on North America. We’re especially interested in stories that explore agriculture and food production against the backdrop of climate and sustainability, social inequality, and food security—but we’re always interested in creative and resourceful ideas that fall outside those areas. We pay writers based on story format and complexity, starting at a base rate of $350 USD.
