Trips To Discover (Part of Strive Media) is excited to add an experienced freelance food & travel writer to our team of contributors. Our compensation is competitive, we pay weekly, and you’ll never have to worry about chasing down your paycheck. This is a remote, 1099 position. We hope to forge a professional relationship that lasts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Are an experienced food and travel writer and are passionate about what you do
• Have experience working with WordPress
• Have excellent grammar and proofreading skills
• Have an understanding of SEO writing and SEO Best Practices
• Have an appreciation for quality photography
• Ability to develop fresh and creative story ideas
• Proven ability to write informative research-driven content packed in the format of an engaging listicle

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the content marketing team on a regular basis
• Pitch original story ideas as well as accept specific assignments
• Provide up-to-date restaurant recommendations and travel advice to readers
• Some assignments may have media requests for comment or follow-up interviews

Compensation ranges from 12-25 cents per-word depending on experience. Article length on average is 1500 words.
