Nic Austin, Editor in Chief of The Queer Queue, is looking for writers:

We're looking to get back into publishing for The Queer Queue. Any LGBTQ+ writer, we're looking for your words on pop culture, anything from film to music and television to books. Check us out at http://thequeerqueue.com and reach out if you want to submit.

We're looking to pay a sliding scale for any work on the website.

• Features, Essays, Reviews, Full-length articles (500-1000 words): $100
• Half-length articles (< 500 words): $50
• Lists: $25

This is definitely subject to negotiation (always higher) depending on the material, bonuses can be applied.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST: Unless otherwise stated, include (1) a cover letter explaining how you meet the requirements or why you are the right fit for the job; (2) a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits; (3) your strongest clips or links to published work; and (4) a resume detailing your writing experience.

ABOUT THE QUEER QUEUE: The Queer Queue aims to establish itself as a site where everything queer will be covered. Topics range from queer films and television to issues in society that oppress queer voices and rights. The Queer Queue’s mission is to deliver critical content and news with a heightened focus on queer media and facilitate discussion on the representation of the LGBTQIA+ community.
