ONGOING BLOG POST WRITER NEEDED FOR SEMRUSH BLOG

This is a paid article for a blog post of ∼2,500 words. If it goes well, we’ll have ongoing work for you: up to 4 articles per month of ~2,500-5,000 words each.

We’re looking for experienced writers to create in-depth, actionable articles about SEO and other digital marketing topics.

• What Is Technical SEO? Basics and 10 Best Practices
• How to Use the Yoast SEO Plugin for WordPress (A Beginner’s Guide)
• What Is Page Speed & How to Improve It

OUR CONTENT STANDARDS:

• Search intent always comes first.
• Useful, fluff-free articles, with actionable steps and expert tips.
• Short paragraphs and sentences. One idea per sentence.
• Relevant sources and examples.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 2+ years of experience writing and/or editing long-form blog content, ideally in the tech/SaaS space.
• Real SEO expertise from hands-on experience.
• Bonus points for marketing experience in other areas, like content marketing, PPC, SMM, e-commerce, or analytics.
• Experience using Semrush tools (or our competitors' tools).
• Speak and write in American English with native-level proficiency.
• If you get in touch, please start your cover letter with the word "expertise"
• Strong time-management skills and absolute respect for deadlines.

RATES

We will pay $0.30/w+. We can also set a fixed rate per piece (including required edits).

Once a writer is accepted, a deposit can be transferred (the remaining amount will be paid once the final version of the article is delivered). We reserve the right to refuse the final work and cancel your remaining payment if the work is below our standard. I will do my best to communicate what the desired standard of work is, and will give you at least one try to fix the work based on actionable feedback.

THIS IS WHAT WORKING WITH US LOOKS LIKE:

• We prepare a content brief, with your target keywords, suggested outline, interlinks, and more.
• We agree on a deadline for your first draft.
• You write the article, and our Content Coordinators add screenshots and images to it (unless you prefer to do it yourself).
• Our editors review it and leave feedback. We send it back to you, and set a deadline to deliver the final piece.
• After you make the changes, the article goes back to our Managing Editors for final approval.
• The article is published and you’re credited as the author.
