Added 2023-03-10 16:33:36 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: SFGATE
Tessa McLean, Editor at SF Gate, is looking for pitches:
I’m looking for more regular freelancers to contribute great local content about living in the Bay Area for SFGate. Rates $250+. Aren’t familiar with SFGATE’s audience? It spans all of California (and beyond!) and we reach around 1 million people every day.
Here are some examples of what I'm looking for.
- The Bay Area has lots of unique living situations and we want to hear those stories. This Amy Cooperman piece told the history of how an old historic mansion became a co-living community: https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/living-in-bay-area-coliving-community-17811872.php
- I once went to the office where they’re creating beds that descend from the ceiling to find out if that was the future of housing in the Bay: https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/bumblebee-spaces-modular-housing-furniture-sf-15080191.php
- We love a deep dive into the history of a unique community, like this one from Andrew Chamings: https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/The-pirates-of-Sausalito-17160156.php
- Or the stories behind a well-known building, like this one from Joshua Bote: https://www.sfgate.com/places/article/San-Francisco-Armory-Kink-BDSM-Newsom-16210161.php
- Or you want to know what’s taking so long on a real estate project: https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/san-francisco-parkmerced-rebuild-still-stuck-17802012.php
- Or you love listening to Bay Area housing meetings and dissecting what happened: https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/bay-area-towns-mull-plan-to-avoid-new-housing-17767526.php
- Or maybe you need to know why something isn’t housing, like this privately owned Bay Area island: https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/history-and-future-of-red-rock-island-in-sf-bay-17797305.php
- Or maybe you've seen something weird while apartment hunting: https://www.sfgate.com/local/article/cheap-apartment-craigslist-rent-scam-san-francisco-15566778.php
