Elizabeth Seward, Executive Editor of Medicinal Media, is looking for pitches:

Medicinal Media is a new nonprofit dedicated to exploring the intersection of media and medicine. I am looking for pitches from experienced writers for soon-to-be-launched platform. Pitches should lean on credible science or at least weave it in, but no need to shy away from personal anecdotes, creative storytelling, or even a little wit. I’m especially seeking first-person narratives, pieces summarizing something relevant in science, tech, wellness, art (ideally with original takeaways), and profiles, but we have room for roundups and other formats. Think of "media" here more as art than news. Video games that can help with anxiety, musicology, films that might expand perspective and strengthen communities, interactive apps that act as meditation coaches, podcasts exploring healing arts, etc. Pay ranges from $150 for our shortest pieces to $450 for longer, well-researched stories. Please include a little info about you (it would be especially great to hear about the significance of this subject for you), links to some published pieces, and a pitch or a few if ya got ‘em.
