Pitches wanted (gaming) (worldwide) | ~$125 to $310+ per article

Gavin Lane, Editor at Nintendo Life, is looking for pitches:
We’re looking to expand our feature-writing freelancer talent pool at Nintendo Life! I’m looking for unique pitches and perspectives on Nintendo topics (naturally). Retro or current, nothing is too niche with the right angle.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR:
Diverse, personal stories with a strong Nintendo slant. Series/game/peripheral-specific articles with a focus on things we couldn’t do/haven’t done in-house. We’ve got Zelda covered, but I’m always open to fresh feature ideas with evergreen series.
Retrospective/historical pieces are good, but exciting and relevant to Switch gamers. Guide pitches are also welcome if you’ve got experience in that area – any Disney Dream Light Valley devotees out there?
WHAT I’M NOT LOOKING FOR:
Hired-gun-provocative takes, Captain Obvious takes, genre lists, XX Reasons Why articles, listicles in general (hey, we love a good list but we’ve got those covered).
Rates start at ~£100 and can scale to £250+ depending on scope. Please send pitches to gavin@nintendolife.com, and please be patient if I don't get back to you immediately. I do my best to reply to everyone, but it might take a while.
Note: Location doesn’t matter. Just the quality of your pitch and writing.
