Straight Arrow News seeks a talented person who is passionate about Bellevue and willing to use his/her/their own equipment (e.g., smartphone, etc.) to report stories that are interesting and/or important to Bellevue residents. Story submissions will be considered for publishing on straightarrownews.com.
NOTE: Journalists will be paid $150 per published story.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Be unbiased and fact-based
- Be aware of events and/or topics of interest in Bellevue
- Be a self-sufficient and motivated video producer
- Work independently
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience shooting high-quality videos on a smart phone
- Strong communication skills
- Broadcast journalism experience preferred
- Knowledgeable of AP Style guidelines
Candidates are required to complete a brief AP Style quiz and provide a 1-minute story sample.
