Ana Sofia Knauf, Assistant Features Editor at Seattle Times, is looking for writers:

Hey writers of color: Seattle Times' Features team is looking for freelancers to help us with coverage throughout Pride month! Ideally, they're based in the greater Seattle area and/or WA, but not a deal-breaker. Interested? Please send work clips to aknauf@seattletimes.com. Clips related to LGBTQ+ issues definitely wouldn't hurt, as well as any reporting you've done on community issues, arts and culture, etc.

Pay varies based on word count ($0.33 per word is the base rate), whether they take photos or help gather handout images, and experience.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST: Unless otherwise stated, include (1) a cover letter explaining how you meet the requirements or why you are the right fit for the job; (2) a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits; (3) your strongest clips or links to published work; and (4) a resume detailing your writing experience.
