Pitches wanted (climate justice) | $125 to $375 per article

The Ecology Action Centre is looking for submissions for the fall 2023 issue of Ecology & Action Magazine! The theme of this issue is “climate justice.” We are looking for article ideas from people who are underrepresented in the environmental movement and/or who are part of populations that face systemic and increasing vulnerabilities to the climate crisis. This includes BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) folks, members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, disabled people, people with low incomes, migrants or refugees, youth, or other underrepresented groups.

Writers of all levels of experience who identify with this description are encouraged to submit an article idea for consideration.

Deadline: Tuesday, June 20, 2023

This is a paid opportunity. The Ecology Action Centre will pay an honorarium of $125-375, depending on length of final piece, to each contributor in this issue.

Articles will be selected by EAC’s communications team and volunteer magazine committee. Depending on the number of submissions, some may not be selected, but we strongly encourage you to submit any and all ideas you may have. All those who submitted article ideas will be contacted by June 29, 2023.
