ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are transforming our website in an effort to better share our long-term vision of climate philanthropy and tell the inspiring climate action stories of our brilliant grantees. We are looking for a talented and imaginative copywriter to work with our Communications Officer to help populate the new website with compelling copy that is engaging, relevant, and aligned with our existing branding guidelines.

Position: Independent Contractor

Estimated timeline: 60-80 hours between July 2023-October 2023

Budget: $125-$150/hour

SCOPE OF WORK

• This engagement will support the launch of Climate Breakthrough’s new website by both transforming existing copy and producing brand new copy.
• Content we are looking to produce includes:
• Website copy for homepage and landing pages
• Profiles of climate leaders
• Blogs on philanthropy
• Website copy for climate change and strategies
• Editing and proofreading content.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least four years of creative copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of both short and long-form content
• Experience in website storytelling, including using graphics and images
• Experience in writing about philanthropy and environment/climate change themes, preferably for similar organizations
• Knowledge of online content creation and strategy in WordPress, familiarity with SEO
• Strong research skills and ability to work under deadlines
• Familiarity with Google Suite
