Gibbs Smith Education needs writers for three (3) lessons in an upcoming Asian American studies volume. The available topics include: Early Asian Immigration (push/pull factors of immigration, California gold rush, railroad industry, what life was like for the earliest Asian immigrants) Discrimination and Exclusion (restrictions on Asian immigration, Japanese internment, impact of racism on AAPI people) AAPI Activism (the Asian American movement, strategies, effectiveness) We need roughly 2,000 words per topic (1,800-2,200 words would be acceptable) and have been paying each author an average of $500 per lesson. Any writer could author just one or all three of the above lessons. We need completed lessons back by June 26th at the very latest.
