Copy Writer/Content Strategist/Editor

West Valley City, UT, FULLY REMOTE

SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Copy Writer/Content Strategist to join our team

DUTIES:

• This position writes, develops, and edits content and copy for marketing and business communications.
• It works collaboratively by utilizing knowledge and understanding of clients processes, products, and services including print and electronic content, and collateral for business and member communications, marketing, and social media.
• It writes effective and engaging creative content for all audiences including prospective and current members, groups, brokers, providers, and internal employees. It edits for voice, reading level, style, tone, and syntax as appropriate for media, audience, and government regulations.
• This position also researches, verifies accuracy, and ensures that writing, editing, and legal review processes are compliant with style guides including trademarks, copyright, grammar, word usage, and spelling.
• Works to ensure adherence to style guide by all members of the marketing department and in all internal and external publications.
• Supports team members and facilitates discussions, prepares and delivers presentations as necessary, and performs substantive editing (beyond proofreading) to suggest improvements and provide feedback.
• Writes effective, engaging, and creative content for all audiences including prospective members and groups, brokers, providers, members, and internal employees. Collaborates with clients to research and complete projects as requested.
• Uses project management software to coordinate and complete projects for clients as requested. Using marketing project tracking software, works with Marketing Specialists and graphic designers to complete projects on-time and as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years of experience in writing, editing and proofreading in journalism, marketing, communications, public relations, or with an ad agency.
• 1-2 years professional experience in business communications
• Experience writing for the web, working with a large team
• Good writing skills, good clarity.
• Demonstrated excellence in project management skills.
• Health insurance or healthcare industry experience.

This position must be able to interact with others, be able to adequately communicate information, operate computers and other office equipment.
