Martindale-Avvo, a leading provider of law firm marketing services, seeks writers to create blog content for our clients’ websites.
Along with your resume, please attach one relevant writing sample -- ideally, a law firm blog post that informs the reader about legal issues and aims to persuade that reader to seek the help of an attorney. Please do not send links to portfolios. Applications without exactly one writing sample (attached in a document, separate from the resume) will be discarded.
This is a freelance, telecommuting position.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Blog posts are written on a wide variety of legal topics for law firm websites. The topics may be timely legal developments or particular legal practice issues. Assignments may range from one to six blog posts at a time. Length: 350-500 words each. $50/post.
Content for blog posts must be written in accordance with our format and style guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
All candidates must be able to do the following:
- Quickly research and comprehend legal concepts in multiple areas of state and federal law.
- Write accurate, clear and concise articles that convey solid information.
- Translate complex legal phrasing into consumer-friendly language.
- Write to a short deadline.
Successful candidates will have a law degree and preferably experience in legal practice or a law-related position.
