JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a AI Prompt Engineering subject matter expert/curriculum writer to join us in creating curriculum content on the topic of AI Prompt Engineering using natural language processing. In this role, you will work with an Instructional Designer to produce written content for curriculum designs, presentation decks, images, videos, assessments, learning objectives. These materials will be used to support our students as they master the core skills of prompt engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and AI to:Develop learning objectives specific to prompt engineering using natural language processing
• Create formative and summative assessments
• Develop lesson materials, including text, images, and multimedia components such as video scripts for instructional and demonstration purposes
• Iterate on deliverables based on user feedback
• Consistently meet project deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of professional experience in natural language processing or a related field
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in AI, prompt engineering, and natural language processing
• Previous experience creating AI, NLP, or software development curriculum for adult learners
• Strong communication and collaborative skills (e.g., you enjoy partnering with people and have excellent project management skills and follow through)
• Excellent writing skills (e.g., you can produce high-quality prose as well as high-quality presentations. You have a gift for writing about complicated concepts in a beginner-friendly way, and can appropriately scaffold content for beginners)
• Comfort with scripting and recording demo videos
• Capable of remote work. You enjoy collaborating and partnering with people in a remote environment and have excellent project management skills and follow through.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft tools (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• (A plus but not required) Experience with Adult Learning Theories
• Ideally available 30-40 hours per week

IDEAL SKILLS

• Experience in education or instructional design
• Knowledge of adult learning theory
• Ability to translate complex ideas into simple graphics or videos
• Experience writing video scripts or creating demo videos
• Familiarity with editorial style guides and best practices
• Experience with visual design skills
• Editorial experience and skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $75-$95 per hour, depending on years of experience
• Contract position with a collaborative team
• Ability to work remotely with flexible hours

• United States Remote: This is a remote position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

The pay range for this position is $75-$95/hour. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
