Lacey Sikora, Editor at Austin Weekly News, is looking for reporters:
We are looking for freelance reporters to do some feature articles for our upcoming West Side Community Guide. $200-300 per article, around 1,000 words. Send resumes and writing samples to editor Lacey Sikora at lacey[at]oakpark[dot]com
Deadline to apply: The earlier the better. Ideally, we will have everything in place by July 26, if not earlier, but we may need to adjust depending on what kind of a response we get.
APPLICATION CHECKLIST: Unless otherwise stated, include (1) a cover letter explaining how you meet the requirements or why you are the right fit for the job; (2) a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits; (3) your strongest clips or links to published work; and (4) a resume detailing your writing experience.
